The Picnic at Bicentennial Park Sunday May 17th

What a beautiful sunny day we had for our picnic at Homebush last Sunday.
The park is indeed a wonderful venue for a gathering, and getting there early is the secret to finding the elusive parking spot.
Luckily many of the group wore their PCAF pink or black hats to identify themselves, which was helpful for the new members who came along. It was lovely to meet George, who brought along his family Julie, Eddie and Tom.
Most everyone had brought a picnic lunch, and we spread our blankets out together whilst the kids made for the climbing equipment, rode their bikes and scooters, and climbed the trees.
As we find with most of these gatherings, the kids interact so well, and the parents are happy to share their experiences of living with a child with alopecia. Friendships were renewed and new ones made, and everyone enjoyed the day. Thank you to all those who attended.
