Mick Fanning – World Surfing Champion

Mick Fanning is now the ASP World Surfing Champion. Mick's dream was to one day become the best; he did this at the HANG LOOSE SANTA CATARINA PRO in Brazil in 2007. Mick was born at Penrith in Sydney’s Western Suburbs, hardly a coastal town. His family moved to Coffs Harbour when he was four. When Mick was five he has his first surf. When Mick was six he got his first surfboard, an old sign for the local surf shop in Coffs. Mick was eight when they packed up and moved to Ballina where he started surfing regularly.
